Winter Wonderland

This post rounds out my third and final shoot from the weekend.  Donna and family are newer friends of mine from the gym who took advantage of my holiday mini sessions on Mt. Hood.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, it was really FUN!  There was just enough time to take a few "formal" shots then we spent the remaining time just watching the kids have a blast in the snow.  These three children of Ryan and Donna were so darling I could have spent the entire day following them around with my camera!  They were filled with joy and playfulness taking every opportunity to roll, jump and dive into the fluffy white stuff.  Here are some of my favorites....

Love and Laughter

Alicia is a very old friend of mine.  That is, our FRIENDSHIP is very old as we met each other in the first grade!  And as luck would have it, the older a friendship grows, the sweeter it becomes.  This day was filled with laughter and good old-fashioned fun.  One year Alicia wrote in my yearbook that we would be friends until we are old and gay.  Yep, she misspelled "gray," and it still cracks me up!  So here we are with our 21-year-old daughters and our 10-year old sons, well on our way to old and gray...and still great friends.  Now grab a tissue, and let's take a peek of our play day on the mountain....

Oh What Fun It Is!

This is the first of three VERY fun mini sessions I offered on the slopes of Mt. Hood.  We could not have picked a more perfect day...it snowed about two feet just days before we arrived.  And we found ourselves in the middle of a gorgeous day on the mountain.  We hit some great locations, and I think the heart of this young family was captured as they are fun and full of good energy!  Here are some of my favorites.

Little Hunter

Hunter is so darling.  He loves his dad and mom, you can just tell.  The poor little guy had to wake up early from his nap for pictures, and he was cutting more than one tooth.  But he was such a little trooper, and I think it is beyond adorable to catch a toddler in all his cuteness...even the grumpy kind.  Happy first birthday, Hunter!

An Autumn Walk

It's the perfect time of year for family portraits in the beautiful fall foliage.  Tuesday was a gorgeous day with sunny skies, a chill in the air, and Fort Vancouver Reserve ablaze in full autumn color.  That's a recipe for fun family time!

Hannah's First Photo Shoot

These are THE cutest set of chubby cheeks I have ever laid eyes on!  Hannah is Native American, and through this special photo shoot we were able to capture symbols of her heritage, which is an honor.  This was such a fun day, and all of these images put a giant smile on my face!
